The Osage Beach Board of Aldermen has passed the first reading of their new budget. The spending plan comes to a little over $35 million, which is almost seven million more than last year. City Administrator Jeana Woods says the increase comes from a capital improvement project at their airport.
The board also approved adopting Christmas Eve as an official city holiday. At their next meeting they’re expected to add President’s Day as a paid holiday for 2019 and remove Good Friday.
