A measure changing insurance requirements for contractors is on the agenda for Thursday’s Board of Aldermen meeting in Osage Beach. The bill passed first reading at the last board meeting in August. It raises the minimum amount of liability insurance that contractors are required to carry and makes them list the city as “also insured” under their policies. That allows the city to receive direct notifications of any lapses or changes in coverage. An ordinance to execute a block grant agreement with the state Highways and Transportation Commission and a resolution of support for a proposed gas tax increase also appear on the agenda. The board meets Thursday evening at 6pm.
