Osage Beach Aldermen and the Mayor haven’t seen a pay increase in roughly a decade. That won’t change after Thursday night’s meeting. Two proposals to increase their per-meeting pay were defeated. The first proposal was defeated 4-3, with Mayor John Olivarri casting the tie-breaking vote.

The second proposal died when it didn’t receive a second for consideration. The board did vote to allow the Mayor and Aldermen serving on appointed committees to collect the same $25 fee that other committee members receive for attending those meetings. That doesn’t take effect, however, until May of 2022.
