The Osage Beach Board of Aldermen is looking to strengthen their agreements with businesses wanting to develop within the city. At their meeting Thursday night the board discussed possible changes to the city’s policy regarding TIFF districts. Aldermen Kevin Rucker says the changes are based on their experiences with TIFFs they’ve worked on before. He says learning and adapting as they go, and being flexible with their plans, is necessary to ensure the best deals moving forward.

The proposed changes alter requirements on leased tenancy that could scare off developers. The revised plan also strengthens the city’s position by including guaranteed construction timelines.
