Osage Beach Giving $5,000 for the The Sign

Building a “Lake of the Ozarks” Hollywood-style sign’s gotten a boost with $5,000 pledged by Osage Beach’s Board of Aldermen. The board’s voted to have the city attorney a resolution and a contract between the city and the Lake Area Chamber authorizing the funds. Joe Roeger, of the Lake Area Chamber’s Beautification Committee, says they’ve raised $29,700 of the $48,000 to go ahead with the project, and they’re still trying to raise $35,000 more. the new sign will go up at Business 54 \and The Expressway, facing traffic as it crosses the Osage River Bridge.
