Osage Beach aldermen think they’ve found their answer to the traffic flow problems on the west end of Osage Beach Parkway and safety issues at the Key Largo intersection on the Expressway. MoDOT’s Bob Lynch presented the design for a three-way slip ramp including a round-a-bout at last night’s meeting:
Lynch says the concept would improve traffic flow and make the area safer. What it doesn’t do is address the weestbound traffic issue:
The board approved the deasign by a vote of 4-1. The city and state would share the estimated $783,000 cost of construction. The plan approved last night also includes an extension of the Parkway to Y Road, at an estimated cost of of $3.7 million split three ways between the city, state and federal governments.
