Police say the wave of thefts from boats has spread, and now involves four marine dealerships on Osage Beach Parkway:
Osage Beach Police Sgt. Arlyne Page says the latest thefts were reported at Pier 45 and Tritoon Town. There were earlier incidents at All About Boats and Marine Max:
Many of the boats were damaged when the thieves removed the marine stereos, amplifiers and speakers. Sgt. Page has this advice for boat owners to avoid becoming a victim:
“Do not assume that lighting and boat covers are going to deter these people,” Page says. “We are asking that
the boat dealers and marina managers communicate the information to one another and let us work together to catch these criminals.”
