Osage Beach Police Officer Announces Intent to Run for Sheriff

A member of the Osage Beach Police Department wants to be the next Sheriff of Camden County. Officer Kelly Lowe has filed written notice of his intention to run for the seat currently held by Tony Helms. By state law, his candidacy must be approved by the city of Osage Beach. That requires a vote of the Board of Aldermen, who must determine that the candidacy would not create a conflict of interest. That vote is expected to take place at Thursday’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
