The 4th of July is rapidly approaching, and the City of Osage Beach has issued a reminder: discharge of all fireworks is banned within the city limits, unless a permit is issued. Applications for permits need to be applied for at least seven days in advance. According to the Osage Beach Police Department: Any permitted display shall be supervised by a person licensed and bonded for the purpose of discharging fireworks. The fireworks shall be arranged, located, discharged, or fired in a manner that, in the opinion of the Chief of Police or his designate, will not be a hazard to property or endanger any person.Applications for permits shall be made in writing at least seven working days in advance of the date of the display or discharge of fireworks and shall be accompanied by an application fee. Granted permits are not transferable and such permits shall not be extended beyond the dates specified within the permit.
