Some changes are in store for restaurant and bar owners in the City of Osage Beach.

According to City Administrator Jeana Woods, the city is now requiring that facilities which prepare or sell foods will have to install grease interceptors, if they haven’t done so already.

Those businesses that already have them will need to re-evaluate if they are the right size and show that they’re being maintained on a regular basis.

The decision is a result of numerous city sewer issues which are directly related to grease discharge.
