The City of Osage Beach is expected to apply for millions of dollars in federal funding to reconstruct and enlarge the apron at Lee C. Fine airport. The Board of Aldermen on Thursday gave their approval to file the application. They’re looking for $6.4 million out of a recently approved $1 billion in federal money made available through the Airport Improvement Fund. It’s a 100% grant opportunity, meaning it would cost the city nothing. If approved, the design work would be done in 2019 with construction expected to be completed in 2020.
