Most of the Osage Beach residents, business owners and visitors responding to a survey conducted by the city say they support the idea of an ordinance banning indoor smoking in public places. 1,509 people completed the survey, according to City Administrator Nancy Viselli. 74.7 percent said they support making all indoor area of restaurants smoke-free.. 68.2 percent said they favor banning smoking in bars. Viselli says it’s up to the City of Osage Beach Board of Aldermen as to what happens next. They’re expected to take up the matter at their August 18th meeting.
