The clock is running. The Osage Beach Board of Aldermen voted 4-2 to pass a resolution directing the administration to notify trash haulers that they may go to a single-provider system. The resolution is NOT a decision to adopt the new system.
Aldermen Jeff Betherum says the vote gives the city two years to further research the topic, but Betherum says they could make a decision much sooner.
No matter what the city decides, by law, they cannot start the new system for a minimum of two years.
