The investigation continues into an overdose case in Morgan County in which responding deputies saved a man’s life. The incident happened at a residence off of Route TT. When deputies arrived they found an unresponsive 20-year old male. Witnesses told the officers that the victim had taken a drink from a jar containing an unknown liquid. Deputies administered NARCAN and got the man breathing. Ambulance personnel took over then. Sheriff Norman Dills says it’s an ongoing investigation and charges could be filed. As for the substance in the jar, Dills says they’re working to identify it, but adds that Narcan is only effective on opioid-based products.
