A routine traffic stop in the area of the Horseshoe Bend Parkway results in a felony drug charge being filed against an Overland man.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were patrolling the area when the vehicle was stopped. During the stop, a K-9 unit was called upon and uncovered about 22.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

An undisclosed amount of marijuana and currency were also seized from the scene.

56-year-old Harrell Brannan, with a lengthy list of previous drug convictions, was taken into custody and formally charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Brannan was being held without bond.
