Last week in two separate incidents a 30-year-old Climax Springs man and a 41-year-old Roach man were charged with manufacturing and distributing illegal substances. On Feb. 3, officers with the Camden County sheriff’s office and the Lake Area Narcotics Task Force conducted an investigation in the 300 block of Deer Trail Road in Roach. Upon entering the home of David Boyce, they allegedly discovered Hydrocodone and Marijuana. Roach was arrested and charged with a class B felony of possession with intent to manufacture and distribute an illegal substance and a class C felony possession of a controlled substance. That same day officers from the sheriff’s department and the Lake Area Narcotics Task Force conducted an investigation in the 200 block of Simpson Drive in Climax Springs. Upon entering the home of Brandon K. Arnett, officers allegedly discovered Psilocybin Mushrooms and Marijuana. Arnett was arrested and charged with a class A felony of disturbing a controlled substance near a school.
