A Private funeral will be held soon for Jessica Mast, the four-year-old child who was killed in Benton County in December.
According to a report by the Benton County Enterprise, her parents 29-year-old Mary Mast and 28-year-old James Mast, will not be allowed to attend the funeral.
The parents are still being held without bond in the Benton County Jail, facing numerous felony charges in the case.
They have since plead not guilty to the charges.
Benton Sheriff’s deputies report the child was severely beaten, submerged into a pond and left to freeze on the banks by the neighbors, 35-year-old Ethan Mast and 21-year-old Kourtney Aumen.
They are also facing numerous felony charges and are being held without bond.
Obituary for Jessica Joy Mast
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Nathaniel Mast and Justin Mast; paternal grandparents, Ervin and Lorene Mast; maternal grandparents, George and Marian Leid; uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Nathan Mast.
Jessica was a sweet and beautiful child who loved to sing Jesus Loves Me and recite Psalm 23. She enjoyed storytime and reading to her brothers. Jessica was known for her friendly and outgoing personality. Her aspiration was to be like her mother.
Jessica will be greatly missed, but we look forward to being reunited in heaven.
A private family service will be held and they ask that their privacy be respected at this time. They wish to thank the community for your support and prayers during this difficult time.
