A local pawnshop is putting a stop to drug activity. According to reports, the Waynesville Gun and Pawn is now working with local police and sheriff’s departments to stop the spread of illegal drug activity in the Pulaski, Laclede and Camden County areas. The owner bought the store a few years ago and noticed the amount of people coming in who were either showing signs of drug use or addiction or where acting suspicious. At one point the shop had been a hub to sell stolen stuff but through the efforts with the police departments the store has a significant difference in customers. The sheriff’s office says that 9 times out of 10, a stolen weapon from a case could end up in a Pawn Shop and the efforts of this individual can help solve homicides and other big crimes.
