Lake Area Residents are joining with others statewide in participating in this year’s 100 Missouri Miles. The Event challenges Missourians to complete 100 Miles of physical activity by the end of the year. The move comes after Missouri was voted as the “Best Trails State” in America in 2013. Missouri’s State Parks offer nearly 1,000 miles of managed trails while on the local level, Lake of the Ozarks State Parks draws more than 2 million people annually which brings more than $94 million dollars to the local economy. Also, Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton recently took 4th place in USA Today’s Best State Parks in America poll. This year’s 100 Missouri Miles officially kicks off on Wednesday.
