They’re $5,000 short of the money they need, but supporters of a Pettis County Ambulance District are going ahead with an April ballot initiative. The “Say Yes to EMS” campaign wants a half cent sales tax to pay for creation a countywide ambulance district, covering the whole of the county except for areas already covered by Sweet Springs, Windsor and Cole Camp. The Pettis County Clerk says the Say YEs to EMS supporters have until mid-March to raise $11,700 to get the issue on the April 3 ballot. For more details, visit www.sayyestoems.com.
