12-people were arrested early this morning in a series of raids done by the South Central Drug Task Force, wrapping up an 18-month investigation of narcotics distribution and sales in and around Phelps County. The drugs included meth, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, and prescription meds. It was a big operation, with the State Highway Patrol, Phelps County and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Departments, Dixon, Crocker, and Rolla Police and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group. Of the 12 arrested, 5 had been arrested before on drug related charges. The individuals range in age from 21 to 46. The charges include drug sales, possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, and sale of a controlled substance near schools.
