They were cleaning up the pork Thursday morning in Miller County. That is, as in rounding up more than two-thousand piglets after a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned semi on Hwy. 42 near the Miller-Maries County line. Firefighters, the sheriff’s department, the highway patrol, MoDOT workers and nearby locals all teamed up together to catch the piglets that got loose and transfer others from the overturned semi to another semi. Firefighters also used water from their truck to keep the piglets cooled off during the operation. At least a couple piglets, apparently, didn’t make it but there were no injuries of the human-kind reported.
