The Planning Commission in Osage Beach has approved regulations for medical marijuana facilities within city limits. They voted Tuesday night to recommend a 200-foot buffer zone between dispensaries and churches, daycares, and primary schools. That’s reduced from the 1,000 foot requirement that was recommended when the initiative was passed last November. Each municipality has flexibility to set the buffer requirements they feel best suits their community’s needs. The guidelines now go to the Board of Aldermen for consideration and final approval.
