We’re coming up on the annual Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Missouri. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the event, which was started by members of the Osage Beach Police Department. Over that time period, more than $3 million has been raised by nearly 11,300 plungers and participants in the polar bear strut. Activities this year begin on Friday when members of the police department will be on top of Hy-Vee starting at 6am. Super Plungers will hit the water February 28th at 3:30pm. That’s followed by the pee wee plunge at fire station number 2, and the polar bear strut Saturday morning at 6:30. The 25th annual polar plunge officially begins February 29th at 2:30pm at PB 2.
