Preparations are already underway for Saturday’s 17th annual Polar Plunge at Public Beach No.2. According to Crystal Chalk with Special Olympics Missouri:
540 plungers are pre-registered. Last year, 611 peeople participated, raising over $200,000. They hope top top those numbers this weekend.
Activities get underway Friday afternoon with the start of the 5th annual Super Plunge, with participants plunging into the lake 24 times in a 24 hour period. The Polar Bear Strut 5K walk/run begins at Osage Beach City Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. And the main Polar Plunge begins at 2:30 p.m. at Lake of the Ozarks State Park Public Beach No.2.
