Some early numbers are in on an annual fundraiser for the Special Olympics. The polar plunge weekend appears to have been another success. Osage Beach Police Lt. Michael O’Day was one of the really dedicated participants who plunged 24 times in 24 hours.
There were also 25 pee-wee plungers and 61 participants in the Polar Bear Strut 5k. With money still coming in, the total amount raised for Special Olympics currently stands at over $160,000.
