A proposal to thoroughly examine the Osage Beach Police Department is back on the agenda for the city’s Board of Aldermen meeting tonight. The plan would cost over $47,000 and would provide a top-to-bottom assessment of best practices, daily operations, and the culture within the department. City Administrator Jeana Woods and Police Chief Todd Davis have said they feel the assessment will improve the department, and should not be viewed in any way as a negative reflection on their operations. The measure passed 3-2 at the last meeting, but fell one vote shy of the total mandated for passage by the state. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6pm in city hall.
