Police Chief Permitted to Have Contact with Victim in Alleged Domestic Assault

A Police Chief accused of domestic assault will be allowed to return home to live with the victim. That’s according to a court ruling issued Monday over the objection of prosecutors for the state. Linn Creek Chief Greg Berry was charged with fourth-degree domestic assault earlier this year following an incident that took place last October. During a dispute with his wife, it’s alleged that he shoved her into a baby crib, pinned her against a wall, and handcuffed her….actions that investigators say left bruises on the victim and prompted a call for an ambulance. The case will be decided by a judge during a bench trial scheduled for June 17th.
