Lake area State Representative Suzie Pollock is among the latest to add her name as a cosigner on a bill taking aim at concealed carry restrictions. Pollock signed onto the bill, Thursday, which is sponsored by fellow-Republican Jered Taylor, of Nixa, and co-sponsored by seven other house representatives, all Republicans. Under the proposed bill, the list of locations an individual can carry a concealed firearm and the list of locations an individual with a concealed carry permit can carry a firearm could be changing. The bill also prohibits the state, political subdivisions and public institutions of higher learning from imposing policies and contractual requirements that would have the effect of prohibiting employees or students from carrying into certain locations. House Bill 258 has been read twice in the house but, at this time, does not appear on the calendar for further consideration.
