The public will have their chance to voice their opinion next week on a change to the Woods Supermarket Sunrise Beach Tax Increment Financing Plan. Sunrise Beach City Planner Roger Corbin says the change is necessary because construction estimates on the project were too low. More rock had to be removed during the building of the new store which Woods says amounts to 75 thousand dollars. The money would come from both the TIF and the Community Improvement District. The CID commission has already approved an increase to sales tax paid in the district to point 25 percent. The TIF board would have to approve the change to the plan which would make up the other part of the money. The public hearing will be on Wednesday, November 6th. It will start at 6:00 at night and will be held at the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Administration Building on Highway 5.
