A court hearing has been rescheduled for a man accused in a stabbing death in Lake Ozark. 39-year old John Joe Powell was due in court this week in connection to the death of 55-year old Mark Johnson. Powell currently faces six combined counts of armed criminal action and first-degree assault with serious physical injury. Those charges were filed following an assault on Johnson at a campground near the Bagnell Dam. Johnson was dragged behind a vehicle and stabbed several times. He has since died from the injuries he sustained. Powell’s hearing was rescheduled from October 4th to October 18th, when he’s due to appear for a case review.
