Lake Area Electric Cooperatives are issuing another Peak Alert for Thursday & Friday.

Consumers are asked to conserve electricity from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The conservation appeal was triggered by an unseasonably hot weather pattern, unplanned outages at three Associated generating units, and projected declining wind power for today.

Some ways you can conserve energy include turning off unnecessary lights, not using large appliances, and unplugging devices not currently in use.
