A preliminary hearing in the case of a Richland woman charged with child abduction is now scheduled for later this month after being continued on Wednesday in Camden County. 30-year-old Aubrey Ferguson is accused of not returning her six-year-old to the custodial father before going on the run and, eventually, being captured while hiding, with her son, in a closed attic area of a residence near Lebanon. Ferguson had been free on an O-R bond before, allegedly, going on the run. Since then, her bond was changed to $200-thousand which she continues to be held on. Ferguson’s new court date, for her preliminary hearing to determine if the case goes to trial, is now set for the 27th of this month. She also faces a child abduction charge in connection to the same incident in Laclede County.
