Better late than never for one Lake Area transportation development district…or TDD for short. State Auditor Nicole Galloway’s office has identified the Prewitt Point TDD as one of 16 transportation districts around the state having now complied with filing an annual financial report. TDD’s are required, according to statute, to file their individual reports within six months of the end of their fiscal years. In the case of the Prewitt Point TDD, that report was due at the end of June and, officially, filed on July 20th. TDD’s failing to timely comply with the filing of their annual reports are subject to a fine up to $500 per day for being late.
