The ups and downs continue at the gas pump. For now, the price for regular has dropped about 30 cents in the last month. In the Lake Area, the price varies from three dollars and eights cents to three dollars and 79 cents a gallon. The state wide average is three dollars and eight cents a gallon. The lowest price for gas in the state is in Columbia where the price for a gallon of regular is three dollars. Triple AAA says the decline in price is normal for October and is also part of the government delay in Washington which is slowing the economy and the demand for gas.
