A long-term project transforming Osage Beach into a more pedestrian-friendly city continues. The next phase of sidewalk construction, according to Public Works Director Nick Edelman, stretches from Case Road to near Arby’s and involves making sure the new sidewalks are ADA compliant.
The work currently being done is the fourth phase of the project which came about as a result of public comment some seven or eight years ago. The project cost is a little over 455-thousand dollars with the city re-coop some of that through a Federal reimbursement program. The current work is to be done, according to the contract, by December 20th although it’s more likely to be finished early sometime, instead, in November.
