While the government continues to investigate the recent propane industry others are finding the positives of “price gouging”. David stokes with the show me institute discussed the positive side of “price gouging” during the morning magazine:
Stokes said it’s the price gouging that brings other people to the market after a disaster. He says if there are true people trying to fix the market for their favor through illegal means they should be punished, but in this instance, he doesn’t think that is the case. Stokes says the government regulations that were placed on propane delivery could have played a part in the recent propane shortage.
Stokes says this is a good example on how the increase supply following the lifting of the regulations are going to bring the market price down hopefully within a few weeks.
