A proposed soccer complex for the Lake of the Ozarks could be a lengthy development project. CVB Executive Director Tim Jacobsen says a lot of planning has to take place, including determining the source of funding for the project, which could come, in part or in full, from private developers, grant funds, or a TIF district. They also have to find the perfect location – one with enough land for the required field space and parking, along with other development.
Jacobsen says those other attractions are necessary to generate enough sales tax to pay back any public TIF funds. Meetings to discuss the proposal will be held Monday at the Exchange in Camdenton from 6-7:30pm and Tuesday from 9-10:30am at the Lodge at Port Arrowhead in Lake Ozark.
