Does the court share some responsibility for a shooting that sent two people to the hospital in Miller County? 18-year old Devin McKie faces two counts each of first-degree assault and armed criminal action after an incident Friday night. A check of his criminal record indicates there was some opposition to McKie being on the streets at all after a string of other arrests. He was charged last November with knowingly burning or exploding and posted a $500 bond. Earlier that month he had been released on his own recognizance after bond was originally set at $10,000 after a domestic dispute. McKie was charged with second-degree robbery in late April of this year. In that case, he was given a $50,000 bond, which a court reduced to $500 despite objections from the prosecutor’s office. He posted that bond just last week.
