Two lake area beaches are under a swimming advisory for the weekend, however many believe that’s not nearly as big of a deal as it sounds. Public Beach #1 and the Grand Glaize Beach are under an advisory after water quality samples show high levels of E. coli colonies. The tests are conducted on Monday, while results are posted on Wednesday. Representative Rocky Miller says, however, in many cases the bacteria in the area will clear up on its own throughout that timeframe. By law, DNR has signs posted to warn visitors of the advisory.
