Not everyone was in the holiday spirit on Black Friday. Two people were arrested after they allegedly shoplifted a puppy from a store in Osage Beach and then abandoned the dog in the woods. Osage Beach Police Sergeant Arlyne Page says the theft happened on Friday afternoon at the Puppy Stop in the 42 hundred block of the Osage Beach Parkway. Witnesses told officers a white male and a white female had left in a black Jeep Cherokee with a two month old, three pound female Miniature Pinscher. They were stopped on the Parkway but did not have the dog. They told police they had dumped the puppy behind the Osage Beach Outlet Mall. An officer looked for nearly two hours before finding the dog. Arrested were 19-year old Alexander Hutson and a 16-year old juvenile. Both are from Osage Beach. The juvenile was released to her guardian pending charges from Camden County juvenile authorities. Hutson was charged with stealing an animal and is being held in the Camden County Jail.
