A ruling by the Missouri Supreme Court is expected to have an effect on a local case. The court ruled that evidence from previous cases could be used as evidence in current cases. The ruling is expected to have a substantial effect on Dennis Purdy, formerly of Camdenton. Purdy is on trial for Forcible Sodomy, Statutory Sodomy 2nd Degree, and Sexual Abuse, all for an incident they believe occurred when he was the owner of Dairy Queen in Camdenton. The trial was set aside until the Supreme Court ruling was made. He will now go before Judge Donald Barnes in Camden County on April 25th.
