PWC Accident Sends A University of Iowa Football Player and Others To The Hospital

A University of Iowa football player and another man from West Des Moines, Iowa are seriously hurt after a crash on Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Hawkeyes free safety Jack Koern and Cole Coffin ran into a boat while riding a PWC at the 4 1/2 mile marker of the Gravois Arm around 7 o’clock Friday night.

In a news release from the Hawkeyes now says Koern is expected to survive.

Both Koern and Coffin were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

Three passengers on the boat that was hit were not hurt.
