The Real Estate Market at the Lake continues to boom into the winter, and nearby cities like Lebanon are experiencing it too.
Since the pandemic began, the demand for boats has skyrocketed and with Lebanon being the “Boat Building Capitol” of the Mid-West, new jobs are coming in daily and the demand for houses has gone up.
Speaking to KY 3 TV, Lebanon’s city Administrator Mike Schumacher says they’re coming up with unique ways to expedite that process, like removing some permit fees.
He says permit fees for home construction and water hookups are removed for the next 2 years, and permits for roads and other infrastructure is reduced by almost 50%.
That is in effect for homes built with a value of $200,000 or less.
