Meantime, the U-S Army Corps of Engineers says all the recent rain could force the release of even greater amounts of water from the Gavin’s Point Dam in South Dakota, which could have a major impact on downstream flooding. They’re already releasing 150-thousand cubic feet of water per second, there, which is a record.
Readings yesterday put the Truman Lake elevation at 708.03. Normal for this time of year is 706. And, there is no discharge from the dam, at the moment. Lake of the Ozarks current elevation is 658.01.
