Recovery time for the city of Eldon will be lengthy following the tornado that struck there earlier this week, but Emergency Management Director Michael Rayhart says the storm is already making it a stronger community.
Rayhart says there’s still a lot of cleanup to do as well as some infrastructure problems that need to be fixed. For those displaced, getting back to normal will take even longer. In the meantime, the community center is serving as a shelter and drop off location for FEMA items including food.
