The Red Cross is calling for residents to give them a hand by donating blood.

Laurie Nehring is the communications director for the American Red Cross and she indicates that although all blood types are welcome, they are in urgent need of certain types right away:

They are also looking for those that can donate platelets as they are dangerously low on them as well.

You can visit http://redcross.org to find a location to donate near you. There will be a blood drive on July 15th at the Osage Beach and Warsaw Walmarts as well as July 16th at the Camdenton Walmart.
