Religious leaders from across the state are joining together to voice opposition to proposed changes in Missouri’s concealed-carry legislation. A multi-denominational group of clergy members are asking lawmakers to nix an idea that would allow guns in churches without advance knowledge or permission from the religious establishments. They’re also calling on legislators to consider banning bump stocks, limiting what they refer to as high-capacity magazines, implementing stronger background checks, and improving resources for mental health care.
