A house review committee, made up of a bipartisan group of state representatives, will hold its first public hearing on Oct. 1 at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City. The group will explore whether the merger of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri State Water Patrol was a good thing, or not. They will also look into training received by the troopers, and the overall cost benefits of the merger. The committee is chaired by State Representative Diane Franklin. The second public hearing will be at 11 a.m. on Oct. 14 at the Osage Beach City Hall.
