The wait is finally coming to an end for Osage Beach residents. Although they faced a slight setback from the rain on Wednesday, the ribbon cutting for Nichols Road has been set for early next week. Public Works Director Nick Edelman says they began putting down the final asphalt on Thursday with plans to finish it today. They will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially reopen the road on Monday. He does say, however, since they’re trying to get the road back open to the public, not all of the landscaping will be done when they open it. The plan is for the city to continue working on the landscape after reopening the road. He says that work will not cause delays.
